Regardless of its mythical reputation, Cader Idris is one of the most popular places in Wales for walkers, hikers and rock climbers, and is yet another piece of natural splendour that makes up the Snowdonia National Park. It's said that anyone who spends nightfall on its summit (Penygadair) will awake either a poet or mad although we think you'd have to be slightly mad to attempt pitching up there in the first place.
